After two seasons as assistant coach, Carl Crowe is leaving Lancashire

Will Porterfield has joined Red Rose after the spin specialist decided to pursue opportunities on the T20 circuit.

On the eve of the 2024 county season, Carl Crowe, Lancashire's assistant coach, left the club by mutual consent to pursue new coaching opportunities. He has been replaced by Will Porterfield, who has joined the staff with immediate effect after leaving Gloucestershire.

Crowe, who played 83 professional games between 1995 and 2009, joined Lancashire's coaching staff as a consultant for spin bowling in 2020. He was later appointed as the assistant coach on a full-time basis in late 2021.

Prior to this, he had established himself as a T20 franchise specialist, including through his work with Sunil Narine.
