On Thursday, May 30, at Kennington Oval in London, Pakistani skipper Babar Azam became the second player in T20I history to score 4,000 runs. The match was the fourth and last between England and Pakistan. With 112 innings, the right-handed hitter achieved this distinction in his 119th T20I outing. Babar needs just 17 more runs to tie Virat Kohli's record of 4037 runs for the most runs in Twenty20 Internationals.
Following the fourth Twenty20 International between England and Bangladesh, Babar Azam has amassed an outstanding 4,023 runs with a strike rate of 130.15 and a robust average of 41.05. Babar has 36 fifty years and three centuries recorded. With a total of 432 boundaries, Babar has also created history by being the first and only hitter to score more than 400 fours in Twenty20 Internationals.
