England's Dominant Victory Seals Series Sweep Against West Indies

In the third Rothesay Test at Edgbaston, England secured a commanding 10-wicket win over the West Indies, completing a 3-0 series sweep.

The match saw England dismiss the West Indies for 282 in their first innings, with Kraigg Brathwaite scoring 61 and Alzarri Joseph taking 4-122 for the visitors. In response, England posted 376, led by Ollie Smith's 95. West Indies struggled in their second innings, managing only 175, with Mikyle Louis contributing 57, while Mark Wood's exceptional bowling spell of 5-40 dismantled their lineup.

Wood's fiery performance, which included a remarkable 5-9 in just 21 deliveries, electrified the Edgbaston crowd post-lunch, leaving the West Indies reeling after starting the day at 33-2. With a modest target of 82 runs for victory, England captain Ben Stokes stepped up to open the batting, scoring the fastest Test half-century in England's history off just 24 balls. Stokes, who ended with 57 not out, partnered with Ben Duckett in the absence of regular opener Zak Crawley, who was sidelined due to a broken finger.

Stokes' aggressive approach delighted fans, featuring nine fours and two sixes, as England reached their target in a mere 7.2 overs. Earlier in the day, the West Indies showed some resistance through a maiden Test fifty from Mikyle Louis and a measured half-century from Kavem Hodge, but Wood's stunning spell of fast bowling ensured an emphatic finish for England.
