For this summer's T20 Blast, Hampshire has recruited Michael Neser, an Australian international and accomplished bowling all-rounder.
Neser, who spent the last three years with Glamorgan, will be available for the first eight Blast matches in May and June, including a return to Cardiff, and potentially a County Championship game.
Neser expressed his enthusiasm, stating, 'I am thrilled to have joined Hampshire and am eagerly looking forward to joining up with the squad.'
Nezer looks forward to contributing to the success of the team on the pitch.
Neser is a highly skilled cricketer with an impressive record of 130 wickets in T20 matches, averaging 23.74, and over 350 first-class wickets at an average of just over 24.
He is also a valuable lower-order batter, scoring back-to-back County Championship centuries last season and accumulating 487 runs from just seven innings.
With just six appearances, he collected 20 wickets at an average of 26, including a hat-trick in the Championship match against Yorkshire in May.
He won his other cap against the West Indies on the same ground 12 months later, making his Test debut for Australia in the Ashes in Adelaide in December 2021.
Neser's impressive record speaks for itself. Neser has also won the Big Bash twice while playing for Brisbane Heat and boasts four ODI caps between June 2019 and September 2023.
