Paul Stirling shared that Ireland's upcoming Test match against Zimbabwe at Stormont, starting Thursday, is a realisation of a childhood dream he envisioned in his backyard in Belfast at the age of 12.
This match marks the first time the Stormont ground will host a Test match, and is only the second Test to be played on the island of Ireland. The Irish cricket team approaches this event with a sense of anticipation, especially after achieving their first win in Test cricket against Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi in March, on their eighth attempt.
Reflecting on the occasion, Stirling recalled how, as a child, he dreamed of playing Test cricket, imagining Stormont as the venue. He expressed that finally getting the chance to play there in a Test match is a very special moment for him and everyone associated with Irish cricket.
