Pacer Kemar Roach will be absent from the West Indies' upcoming tour of England due to an injury, with Cricket West Indies announcing Jeremiah Louis as his replacement.
Cricket West Indies revealed that Roach sustained a knee injury during the ongoing County Championship, which has ruled him out of the three Tests. Roach had signed with Surrey for the season and had played in six matches for the team.
Desmond Haynes, the lead selector, noted that Roach's expertise and experience in English conditions would be missed. However, he highlighted that this tour presents a significant opportunity for Jeremiah Louis, who has the necessary skill and experience to make an impact in England.
The 28-year-old Louis, who is yet to be capped, brings with him ten years of First-Class experience, having played 57 matches for St Kitts and Nevis.
