Livingstone Claims Top Spot in T20I Allrounder Ranking

Liam Livingstone has risen to the top of the men’s T20I all-rounder rankings after a stellar performance that earned him the Player of the Series title against Australia.

Livingstone surged seven places to surpass Marcus Stoinis, thanks to his 124 runs and five wickets in two matches, with the final game at Old Trafford being washed out. Promoted to No. 4 in England’s batting order—having previously played the finisher role during the T20 World Cup—Livingstone took full advantage, leading England to a series-tying win with a blistering 87 off 47 balls in Cardiff.

Following the first T20I, where he scored 37 and took 3 for 22 in a losing cause, Livingstone highlighted his desire to take on more responsibility. He said, "It's up to me to perform as best as I can and give the selectors something to think about for the next series. No one wants to bat lower down the order."

Expressing his ambition, Livingstone added, "I want that responsibility. I want to win games for England, and batting higher up gives me a greater opportunity to do that. While fewer players are suited to the No. 6 role, this is my chance to solidify my place."

Equally effective with the ball, Livingstone formed a crucial spin duo with Adil Rashid, helping England recover from fast Australian starts in both matches.

His impressive performances have also earned him a recall to England’s ODI squad for the five-match series against Australia, stepping in for the injured Jos Buttler.

Meanwhile, Travis Head solidified his position as the top-ranked batter with 90 runs off 37 balls in the series. Adam Zampa also moved up one spot in the bowling rankings, ensuring the top six spots remain dominated by spinners.
