England's Maia Bouchier wins the ICC Women's Player of the Month award thanks to a scintillating run-scoring spell in New Zealand as the tourists claimed a commanding 4-1 T20I series win in March.
Bouchier, the ICC Women's Player of the Month, picked up her first award after starring in England's T20I series in New Zealand.
The 25-year-old scored 223 runs at an average of 55.75 in the five T20I matches she played during the month, producing explosive performances to lead the visitors to a memorable 4-1 series win.
Bouchier began the series with an unbeaten 43 in the opening match, putting on a challenging total alongside captain Heather Knight that was easily defended by England's bowlers. Her next impressive knock came in the third match when she smashed a 47-ball 71 as England were bowled out in Nelson.
Promoted to open the batting in the subsequent decider in Wellington, Bouchier smashed her highest T20I score of 91 off just 56 balls, including 12 fours and two sixes, to secure the series victory and pick up the Player of the Match award in a 47-run win.
