Ollie Robinson: Sussex and England bowler eye return to first-class cricket

England bowler Ollie Robinson says he wants to "sort out some personal stuff" and get back to playing cricket on a regular basis.

The Sussex right-armer, 30, has struggled with injury and has played just nine matches since December 2022.

And Robinson says he has been seeing a psychologist during his time away from the game:

"It's something I never really thought I would need but, given what's happened over the past year and the criticism I have had in the public light, you do need someone to lean on.”

Depending on his bowling workload, Robinson, who last played in England's fourth Test in India in February, will play in up to five of Sussex's opening County Championship matches.

While accepting his outspoken nature attracts criticism and comes with the territory of someone who took 76 wickets in 20 Tests for England.
