West Indies secured a 2-1 series win against England with an emphatic eight-wicket triumph in the final ODI in Barbados.
Chasing a target of 264, Keacy Carty and Brandon King each delivered exceptional performances, reaching centuries and guiding their team to victory with seven overs remaining. Carty, from Sint Maarten, celebrated his first international century, ending unbeaten on 128 off 114 balls, while King registered his third ODI hundred from 113 deliveries.
Despite a shaky start, where England fell to 24-4 within 10 overs, Phil Salt’s steady 74 helped stabilise the innings. Sam Curran contributed 40, and Dan Mousley recorded his maiden ODI half-century. Jamie Overton added 32, and Jofra Archer remained not out on 38, allowing England to post a total of 263-8.
With the T20 series beginning on Saturday at the same venue, England, now led by returning captain Jos Buttler, will aim to regroup and build momentum.
