Betway SA20 signs CricViz deal to deliver cricketing data insights through 2026

Cricket data and analytics provider CricViz will integrate its comprehensive suite of offerings across Betway SA20's digital platforms, providing valuable insights into the tournament.

As well as providing punters with access to CricViz's fan engagement products, widgets and data feeds, the partnership will see these elements integrated into the newly launched Betway SA20 match hub. A range of statistics covering match details, team dynamics and player performance will be available to customers through this service.

Betway SA20 will leverage CricViz's extensive data science tools, including WinViz and Most Valuable Player (MVP), as part of this joint effort. The partnership will introduce an «enhanced commentary» service, powered by AI. Fans will also be able to enjoy CricViz’s visualizations such as Wagon Wheel, Beehive, Pitchmap and Manhattan. This will enhance the overall engagement experience.

CricViz’s managing director Michael Kivido says that ahead of the second edition of the tournament, everyone is thrilled to unveil this collaboration with Betway SA20. By tapping into the largest cricket database in the world, their insights, analytics and data science models will increase the level of engagement for the competition's diverse fan base.

Emphasizing the importance of fan engagement, Betway SA20 League Commissioner Graeme Smith says it’s a fundamental aspect to be objective alongside delivering a world-class cricket competition. CricViz's cutting-edge data and analytics tools will enable fans to educate and inspire new fans, as well as provide a deeper level of insight into our existing audience.
