Current cycle of the World Test Championship: England

England has an upcoming series against West Indies (3 Tests, home), Sri Lanka (3 Tests, home), Pakistan (3 Tests, away), New Zealand (3 Tests, away).

In the previous World Test Championship, England ended with five consecutive Test victories under a new regime led by Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes.

At home, England fought hard in the Ashes and managed to level the series, but they were dealt a significant blow when they received a penalty of 19 World Test Championship (WTC) points for maintaining a slow over-rate.

After losing 4-1 to India at home, England currently sits at the bottom of the points table in the World Test Championship.

England has two home series against West Indies and Sri Lanka, and they are also scheduled to play tougher away matches against Pakistan and New Zealand.
