England vs. Pakistan: The hosts win the series with a 65-run victory

England defeated Pakistan 145 at the County Ground thanks to a 49-run partnership between Maia Bouchier and Alice Capsey and 31 from 21 balls from Nat Sciver-Brunt. Sophie Ecclestone (3-11) broke Katherine Sciver-Brunt's record to become the England Women's leading T20I wicket-taker as they won a series 65 runs to 1 at the County Ground in Northampton.

In contrast to the first test of the series at Edgbaston, England made the most of taking the toss and winning it in the first ten overs thanks to a solid second-wicket partnership between Maia Bouchier and Alice Capsey. The returning Nat Sciver-Brunt also hit a career-high 31 off just 21 balls.

Though Nida Dar became the top wicket-taker in women's T20Is with 137, Pakistan mounted a comeback with the ball in the second part of the game, and England set the tourists 145 for a victory to force a series decider in Leeds on Sunday.

25-year-old Ecclestone claimed her 115th wicket in the shortest format, a new record for the national side, Pakistan never recovered from losing three early wickets and lost for 79 as England grabbed an insurmountable 2-0 series lead.
