England Women concluded the IT20 series with a five-wicket triumph over New Zealand

England Women concluded their IT20 series with a five-wicket win against New Zealand at the Cello Basin Reserve in Wellington.

Heather Knight made one change to the team that sealed the series in Wednesday's match at the same venue, bringing in Lauren Filer for Lauren Bell.

Nat Sciver-Brunt took early wickets, dismissing Bernadine Bezuidenhout and Amelia Kerr.

Suzie Bates was bowled by Charlie Dean, and her strike was caught by Danielle Gibson. Sophie Ecclestone also impressed, taking three wickets.

Izzy Gaze and Brooke Halliday set a record-breaking 56-run sixth-wicket partnership in the 20-over format for New Zealand. Gaze scored a half-century as the home side finished on 136-6.

Maia Bouchier, who had an impressive series and was player of the match last time out, was caught by Gaze off Lea Tahuhu's ball.

Danielle Wyatt and Alice Capsey made 21 and 25 respectively. Knight and Sciver-Brunt combined for 66 to set England on their way.

The two teams will now contest a three-match ODI series, which begins on March 31 in Wellington.
