In the fifth and final Test against India at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala, Ben Stokes won the toss and elected to bat first.

Devdutt Padikkal is making his debut for India, while Rajat Patidar has been dropped. Padikkal received his Test cap from Ravichandran Ashwin, who is playing in his 100th Test.

Jasprit Bumrah, who was rested for the fourth Test, has returned to the playing XI, replacing Akash Deep, who made his debut in the previous game.
