Freemans Event Partners will introduce a distinctive food and drink retail experience at Lord's

Building on its existing partnership with MCC, Freemans Event Partners, a UK-based global multi-service event partner, will introduce a new food and beverage retail concept at Lord's in 2024.

The new two-storey building will offer a diverse range of food and beverage options in one location, providing spectators with more choices. Additionally, self-checkout kiosks will be implemented to enhance the service experience and reduce waiting times.

The aim is to simplify the purchasing process by offering a bar/drinks outlet on one floor and takeout self-service food on the other. All items can be bought in one location in a single transaction, allowing spectators to spend more time watching the action on the field.

This increased efficiency will provide a faster and more convenient process for spectators, with a wider range of options available in one place. It is expected to reduce the average transaction time by 36 seconds.

The outlet is scheduled to launch in May, just in time for the 500,000 visitors who attend Lord's each season for domestic and international cricket matches, including England Men's internationals against the West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Australia, as well as the England Women's match against New Zealand.

Simon Hanna, Chief Operating Officer at Freemans Event Partners said they were dedicated to offering sports enthusiasts the best possible matchday experience, with a particular focus on food and drink. This new concept at Lord's Cricket Ground aims to transform how fans buy refreshments at this iconic venue, providing them with more options and reducing waiting times, so they can quickly return to enjoying the action.
