George Balderson, the talented all-rounder from Lancashire, has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2026

George Balderson, a versatile player, has confidently signed a new contract with Lancashire that will run until the end of the 2026 season.

The 23-year-old academy graduate made his debut in 2020. He has made an impressive 54 appearances for the county in both red-ball and 50-over cricket.

Balderson scored over 700 runs, including two centuries, and took 23 wickets in County Championship Division One last summer.

He said as a team, Lancashire are now confident of moving on and winning silverware.

Balderson's experience of playing a significant amount of first-team cricket and being a member of a talented squad competing at the top end of the County Championship and in the knockout stages of the white ball competitions has been nothing short of brilliant.

With an average of 33 runs from his 48 innings with the bat in red-ball cricket and a total of 66 wickets, Balderson has showcased his skills and expertise. While he has not yet played in the T20 Blast, his impressive track record speaks for itself.

Balderson is confident that he will soon be able to play all formats for Lancashire.

Director of Cricket Performance, Mark Chilton, praised my experience and composure at just 23 years old. I am expected to take on a more senior role in the dressing room and continue to set standards for younger players in the future.
