Ben McDermott, the Australian wicketkeeper-batsman, is set to play for Hampshire in the 2024 T20 Blast.
The 29-year-old will be joining the Hawks for the third consecutive year, after helping them claim the title in his first season.
The right-hander has scored 901 runs in 32 appearances for Hampshire, including nine half-centuries.
He expressed his satisfaction with the club, saying, he has enjoyed his time as a Hawk, so it was an easy decision for him to return.
Hampshire have already announced the signing of McDermott's compatriot Michael Neser and Afghanistan paceman Naveen-ul-Haq to play in the Blast.
McDermott expressed confidence in the team's chances of having another successful season and winning silverware.
He has 30 caps for Australia in white-ball cricket and most recently scored 261 runs in just eight matches for the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash in his home country.
