Harry Brook, an England batter, has made himself available to play for Yorkshire in the County Championship.
Brook withdrew from the Test series in India due to his grandmother Pauline's illness and later pulled out of the Indian Premier League after her death.
Yorkshire's first match of the season is against Leicestershire at Headingley on Friday, 5 April.
Joe Root, another England batter, may also play in their early games.
Head coach Ottis Gibson stated that Brooky will be available for the first few games, including Leicestershire, now that he is not going to the IPL.
Since the fifth T20 in the West Indies in December, Brook has not played competitive cricket.
England's next fixture is a four-match T20 series at home to Pakistan, starting on 22 May, before Jos Buttler's side begins their defence of the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean on 4 June.
Yorkshire is aiming to win promotion back to Division One of the County Championship, having finished seventh of eight teams last year.
