India displayed their dominance in the game against Ireland

India made a strong start to their T20 World Cup campaign with a convincing eight-wicket victory over Ireland in New York. Ireland, batting first, struggled to cope with India's bowling attack on a pitch that favoured bowlers, managing only 96 runs in 16 overs. Hardik Pandya was the standout performer for India, claiming three wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh chipped in with two wickets each.

In response, India chased down the target comfortably, with opener Rohit Sharma leading the charge with a brisk 52 off 37 balls. Despite losing Virat Kohli early in the innings, Rohit's aggressive knock put India on course for victory. However, Rohit retired hurt after sustaining a shoulder injury from a delivery by Josh Little. Rishabh Pant then took charge, finishing unbeaten on 36 off 26 balls and sealing India's win with a reverse-scoop six.

India's next match is a highly anticipated showdown against arch-rivals Pakistan, scheduled for Sunday at the same venue. With a dominant record against Pakistan in T20 World Cup matches, India will look to continue their winning streak in this high-pressure encounter. Meanwhile, Ireland will face Canada in their next match, aiming to bounce back from their defeat to India.
