Open trials to be held at Middlesex Ace Academy in February

Middlesex Cricket is pleased to announce the opening of an ACE Academy at the club's indoor cricket school in Finchley, North London.

The ACE (African Caribbean Engagement) Academy aims to provide an environment for players from African and/or Caribbean backgrounds to reach their full potential. ACE was set up in 2020 by Ebony Rainford-Brent as a response to the 75% decline in the number of black British players in the professional game and less than 1% in the recreational game.

The Middlesex Academy is the second to open in London. Successful programmes are already running in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, and Nottingham.

Academy players will be able to improve their individual game through dedicated training programmes and more time with coaches.

An open evening will be held at the Middlesex Indoor Cricket School on Tuesday 20 February. Details of the event are below:

  • EVENT: MIDDLESEX ACE ACADEMY OPEN TRIAL EVENING
