Lancashire has announced the signing of Australian spinner Chris Green for the Vitality Blast. Green replaces Nathan Lyon in Lancashire's plans after Cricket Australia withdrew Lyon's clearance to play white-ball cricket during his time in England.
Green, 30, has made a name for himself as a T20 specialist who is adept at bowling with the new ball - although he made his first-class debut in 2022 and has played for New South Wales in the past two Sheffield Shield seasons. He has three previous stints in the Blast, representing Birmingham Bears and Middlesex, and has T20 experience around the world, notably in the Big Bash and Caribbean Premier League.
Green made his T20I debut for Australia in December but is not expected to be part of Australia's T20 World Cup plans.
