Yorkshire Cricket wins Investors in Diversity Award

In January 2021, the whole Yorkshire family - Yorkshire County Cricket Club (YCCC), Northern Diamonds, Yorkshire Cricket Board (YCB) and Yorkshire Cricket Foundation (YCF) - launched the 'Cricket is a game for me' Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) plan to ensure that Yorkshire continues to play its part in making cricket the most inclusive game in sport and that Yorkshire Cricket is a home for everyone.

This EDI plan focused on:

- Ensuring that the YCCC Pathways Performance Programme is fair and transparent

- Commitment to building a culture of EDI

- Implementing best practices in leadership, governance and staff development

- Ensuring that everyone who participates in or experiences cricket feels welcome and at home

- Building a more inclusive environment and a better foundation for everyone in the Yorkshire family with the progress that was made over the last two years.

The National Centre for Diversity has now awarded Yorkshire Cricket's EDI work its UK Full Silver Award, which recognises that an organisation not only commits to building a culture of Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement (FREDIE) but can demonstrate this in practical ways.
