Alex Hales has re-signed with Notts Outlaws
Alex Hales, Notts Outlaws' top T20 run-scorer, has extended his white-ball contract for one year.
The agreement will bring the top-order batsman, who has scored 4,687 runs in the shortest format for Notts, into his 17th professional season at Trent Bridge.
During this time, the World Cup winner has achieved an impressive white-ball record, winning the Vitality Blast twice with the Outlaws and participating in franchise tournaments worldwide.
Hales said that he is very excited to be part of another Vitality Blast campaign for Notts.
In the last three seasons alone, Hales has made four of the top eight contributions in a single season for Notts in the Vitality Blast, scoring eight fifties and one century. Additionally, the 34-year-old has mustered two tons for the Outlaws, with the first coming in 2017 when Notts won their first domestic T20 trophy. Alex has scored more runs than any other player for Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League. He has also recently played for Jamaica Tallawahs in the Caribbean Premier League, Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League, and Trent Rockets in The Hundred.
According to Head Coach Peter Moores, Alex has an unrivalled T20 record for Notts and an immense pedigree in the game. Any team with him in it is stronger as a result. He has a wealth of experience to share with the rest of the group and sets a great example at the top of the order with his intent.
The younger players look up to him and enjoy batting with him because of what he has achieved in the game and what they can learn from him.
