Archie Vaughan and Rocky Flintoff Selected for England Under-19 Squad

Archie Vaughan, son of former England captain Michael Vaughan, has been selected for the England Under-19 squad for the first time.

The 18-year-old batter is part of a 14-man squad set to play two Tests against Sri Lanka, starting at Wormsley next week.

Vaughan will be joined by 16-year-old Rocky Flintoff, son of former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff, who is currently part of the squad for the ongoing one-day series, which is currently tied at 1-1.

Last month, Vaughan and Flintoff faced each other, playing for a Young Lions Invitational XI and the England Under-19s respectively. Vaughan scored 85 runs off 83 balls, contributing to the Invitational XI's total of 288 all out. Flintoff's century, a score of 106, led the England Under-19 team to a two-wicket victory in the 50-over match.

In May, Somerset's Vaughan signed a two-year contract with Taunton, while Flintoff secured professional terms with Lancashire in June.

Flintoff, who has been playing alongside his 18-year-old brother Corey at Old Trafford, scored a century for Lancashire's second XI against Warwickshire at Edgbaston in April.
