England Women name teams for tour of New Zealand

England Women have named two T20 squads and one ODI squad for their tour to New Zealand to take on the White Ferns.

Head Coach Jon Lewis will be leading the UP Warriorz in this season's WPL and will join up with England on the 12th of March for a week of preparation ahead of their first ever IT20.

The tour kicks off in Dunedin. Further games will be played in Nelson, Wellington and Hamilton.

The England Women's A squad for the tour has also been named, with Blaze captain Kirstie Gordon leading the A side in the IT20s, while Sunrisers' Grace Scrivens will be in charge of the ODIs.

The squad also includes Tash Farrant and Emma Lamb. Farrant returns from a stress fracture to continue her return to bowling. Lamb continues her comeback from lower back surgery.

Freya Kemp will tour with the A Group batting only after re-aggravating a back injury. A key part of her return to full fitness will be managing her workload over the next few months.

The A side, coached by former Durham head coach and current ECB performance batting coach Jon Lewis, will play three T20s and three 50-over matches in Queenstown, Dunedin and Nelson.
