Glynn Purnell, a renowned TV chef, will be designing the menu for the Edgbaston Major Match
Celebrity chef Glynn Purnell will return to Edgbaston this summer to create a hospitality menu for the stadium's Major Match Day calendar.
Purnell has been re-appointed to lead the menu creation and delivery of the three-course meal in the stadium's Warwickshire Suite for the Men's IT20 between England and Pakistan, Men's Test against West Indies, and Vitality Blast T20 Finals Day.
The restaurateur from Solihull will be working in the Warwickshire Suite kitchen every day with his chefs, who will collaborate with Edgbaston's culinary team.
The 49-year-old is renowned in Birmingham for Purnell's Restaurant, a Michelin-starred establishment in the city centre, and for his appearances on TV shows such as The Great British Food Revival, The Secret Chef, and Saturday Kitchen.
Claire Daniel, the Operations Director at Edgbaston, stated that Purnell would be warmly welcomed back to the Warwickshire Suite after a memorable debut in 2023.
The IT20 match against Pakistan is scheduled for Saturday 25th May. The West Indies Test will take place at Edgbaston from Friday 26th July to Tuesday 30th July. The Blast Finals Day is scheduled for Saturday 14th September.
Availability is limited on some days. Hospitality for Day 1 of the West Indies Test and the Vitality Blast Finals Day is close to selling out.
