Goldsworthy from Somerset joins the Foxes for the T20 Blast
For the duration of the T20 Blast, Lewis Goldsworthy, an all-around player, has been signed by Leicestershire on a loan from Somerset.
The 23-year-old was added to the Foxes team to bolster it after spinner Liam Trevaskis was sidelined at the beginning of the season due to a back ailment.
Goldsworthy has made 25 T20 matches for Somerset and took 23 wickets.
In the competition, he has also amassed 257 runs at a strike percentage of 116.81.
The all-rounder from Somerset, Ben Green, moved to Leicestershire last month on a short-term contract to play in the County Championship. The left-arm spinner is now joining Leicestershire on loan.
"The chance to come and play for Leicestershire is very exciting. As soon as I got the call, I was straight in the car," Goldsworthy told the club's official website, external. "I feel at home already. I spoke to Ben Green, who only had good things to say about the club and the squad here, so I’m looking forward to getting going with a good group of lads."
The Foxes begin their T20 Blast campaign at home against Yorkshire Vikings on Friday.
