Jersey's Old Victorians have reached the knockout stages of the European Cricket League
Old Victorians, the Jersey champions, have progressed to the knockout stages of the European Cricket League following a 19-run victory over Scottish side Forfarshire.
Jamie Watling scored 32 runs and Julius Sumerauer added 39 as Old Victorians reached 116-7 after a middle-order collapse.
Forfarshire struggled to maintain the run-rate in response, with Matthew Webb taking figures of 3-22 as they finished on 97-6.
Later on Thursday, Old Victorians lost to group leaders Hornchurch by three wickets in their final game.
Hornchurch finished the group stage with a perfect record of six wins out of six, securing the top spot. OVs finished in second place, which means that the two teams are facing each other in a qualifying match for the final.
