On Saturday, King Charles welcomed the West Indies Test cricket team to Buckingham Palace ahead of their upcoming series against England. The squad, accompanied by High Commissioners from the region, met His Majesty before the first Test match at Lord’s.

England, under Ben Stokes, will face the West Indies in a three-match series starting Wednesday, aiming to improve after a disappointing tour of India. King Charles, expressing his concern over Hurricane Beryl's impact, conveyed his condolences and support. Team Captain Kraigg Brathwaite appreciated the opportunity, noting the importance of uplifting West Indians during difficult times.

King Charles, recently returning to public duties amid cancer treatment, has also made a significant charitable donation for disaster relief. He has engaged with regional leaders and plans to continue monitoring the situation. Upcoming engagements include delivering the King's Speech on July 17 and participating in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa this October.
