Scorecard
London Spirit secured their first victory of the season in The Hundred men's competition, defeating Welsh Fire by three wickets at Lord's.
Although Luke Wells' quick-fire 23 off eight balls provided some entertainment, Welsh Fire lost wickets consistently, ending their innings at 94-9. Spirit's spinner Liam Dawson delivered an exceptional performance with figures of 3-10, and seamer Daniel Worrall set a record by bowling 10 consecutive dot balls at the start of the innings.
London Spirit also faced challenges with the bat, finding themselves at 38-4, with Matt Henry taking 3-19. However, Shimron Hetmyer (30 not out off 21) and Dan Lawrence (29 off 27) stabilised the innings with a 46-run partnership, alleviating some of Spirit's nerves. Haris Rauf provided Welsh Fire a glimmer of hope by taking two wickets in consecutive balls.
Ultimately, Hetmyer sealed the win for London Spirit with a massive six over square leg.
