Maia Bouchier scored 91 runs in the fourth T20 match, securing the series win for New Zealand against England

England secured a T20 series victory with a game to spare, winning dominantly by 47 runs over New Zealand in Wellington.

Opener Maia Bouchier's impressive 91 from just 56 balls set up England's imposing total of 177-3.

In response, spinner Charlie Dean claimed 4-26 as the hosts stumbled to 130-7 in their 20 overs.

The White Ferns were left to regret their sloppy fielding performance, having dropped Bouchier twice and missed a stumping.

Captain Sophie Devine was unable to bat due to a quad injury sustained in the field, further denting New Zealand's hopes of chasing the competitive total.

However, they should not have been chasing such a target if Izzy Gaze had not missed a regulation stumping with Bouchier on 31, Jess Kerr had held on during her follow-through when she was on 44, and substitute fielder Leigh Kasperek had not spilled a tough diving chance on 80.

England were given many runs due to New Zealand's poor fielding, and they took advantage by scoring 65 runs in the last five overs.

Bouchier hit 12 fours and two sixes, followed by captain Heather Knight's 21 from nine balls and Nat Sciver-Brunt's 29 from 14 balls, which gave England the momentum they needed to win.

The last T20 match will be held at the same venue on Friday.
