Nat and K Sciver-Brunt Expecting Their First Child

England cricket legends Nat and Katherine Sciver-Brunt have revealed that they are expecting their first child together.

In a joint Instagram post, Nat, a renowned all-rounder, announced that her wife, Katherine, who retired from international cricket last year, is pregnant. Katherine, 39, stepped away from the sport after an illustrious career where she claimed 335 wickets, the most by any woman for England. Later in the year, she retired from all forms of cricket.

"We have some exciting news to share—Katherine is pregnant with our first child!" Nat shared. Alongside the announcement, she posted a photo of their dogs, humorously adding, "Soon to be five in 2025!"

The couple had previously shared their desire to start a family earlier this year, with Nat undergoing egg-freezing treatment. In May, Nat expressed her hopes of carrying a child once she finishes playing cricket, adding that Katherine had similar plans.

At the time, Katherine mentioned she was preparing for her own "fertility journey."

Nat, 32, who was named the leading women's cricketer in the world by Wisden earlier this year, has been selected for England's squad in the upcoming T20 World Cup, set to begin in October.

While there are no current mothers in the England cricket team, several women across the world play both internationally and domestically after becoming parents. The last England player to do so was all-rounder Arran Brindle, whose international career ended in 2014.
