Scotland squad announced for ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier

The Scotland squad has been announced for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier in the UAE.

Kathryn Bryce will captain a team of 15 players who are aiming to qualify for the Women's T20 World Cup for the first time. The tournament will be held in Bangladesh later this year.

Ten teams will compete for two qualifying spots during the Global Qualifier, with Scotland placed in Group A alongside Uganda, Sri Lanka, USA, and Thailand.

The squad will travel to the UAE on 7 April for a busy period of preparation and a series of warm-up matches. These include two ODI fixtures against Papua New Guinea and the USA in Dubai, followed by T20 internationals against the USA, Netherlands, and UAE in Abu Dhabi.

Two official ICC warm-up fixtures against Ireland and Zimbabwe will precede the start of the Global Qualifier on 25 April, which runs until 7 May.

Craig Wallace, the Interim Women’s Head Coach, will lead the coaching team with assistance from Leigh Kasparek and Joe Kinghorn-Gray.
