Update on Emma Lamb's injury

Emma Lamb, who returned home early from the India series in December, has undergone back surgery.

The lower back injury suffered by Emma Lamb has required surgery.  

Opening batsman Lamb will now begin her rehabilitation with the ECB and Thunder medical teams following a period of recovery. The duration and success of recovery can vary greatly depending on the specifics of the surgery, the severity of the injury, and the individual’s overall health and fitness.

In Lamb's absence as a specialist opener, it is likely that one of Danni Wyatt, Sophia Dunkley or Alice Capsey will join Tammy Beaumont at the top of the order. All three have played the role in white-ball cricket.
